What Each Grade Means

A

Excellent

Like new condition. Minimal or no visible wear. Fully functional with no known defects. May include factory packaging or documentation. Ideal for buyers who want the closest thing to new.

B

Good

Normal wear for age and mileage. Fully functional with minor cosmetic imperfections (scratches, light wear). No mechanical or electrical issues. The most common grade for quality used parts.

C

Fair

Moderate wear. Functional but may have minor issues (e.g., wear on seals, light corrosion). Suitable for budget repairs or when appearance is less critical. Issues are disclosed in the listing.

D

Salvage

Heavy wear, damage, or core-only. May need repair, rebuild, or refurbishment. Sold for core value or as-is. Best for rebuilders, mechanics, or those comfortable with refurbishment.

How Grading Affects Pricing
